Revolutionising c2c's London commuter service with free on-board infotainment

Most people do not enjoy their commutes to and from work. For many, commuting is dead time – an hour (or even longer) of simply getting from A to B. We have worked with c2c to revolutionise commuters’ journeys, turning this dead time into productive time by launching ‘vista’, our on-board infotainment app, on the operator’s services.

After connecting to the free on-board Wi-Fi, passengers can access premium content from Sky and Sky Sports News, NOW TV, as well as the latest business and financial headlines from Bloomberg Media. Passengers also benefit from regularly updated c2c travel information, showing service status and London Underground information.

As with our similar systems on Virgin Trains East and West Coast, Eurostar and National Express coaches, all content is streamed from an on-board server straight to passengers own devices, ensuring a better quality of service. This process frees up the data network, allowing other passengers to work and check emails on board, significantly boosting productivity.

We are committed to improving the passenger experience across all public transport platforms, and by introducing this service on c2c, a predominantly commuter-driven line, commuters can expect to arrive at the office up-to-date and ready for the working day ahead.
